Suquamish Tribal Appeals Court rules for Guardianship Hearing while YINOC

The Suquamish Court of Appeals in an opinion and order filed in Suquamish Tribal Court on November 17th, 2016, ruled that guardianship hearings can be heard when children are adjudicated Youth-In -Need-of-Care (as defined by the tribal code). Guardianship Hearings must be heard with-in the statutory 40 days unless continued for good cause.
